Small firms slow in EMV transition

Soon after the Oct. 1 EMV liability shift for businesses, a TD Bank survey found just 41% of small businesses have installed EMV chip-enabled payment terminals.

An additional 40% of small business owners say they plan to switch soon, but indicated they have obstacles with or concerns about converting

How are the products and services working for you?
The Triple E system allows our company to access each location remotely easily, making it easier change prices or to troubleshoot when necessary. We are planning to convert the remaining sites over the next few years.

Ken Leonard is the Software Development manager. He has been in the IT industry for over 35 years and has been a member of the Triple E team since June of 2014. He lives in Otis Orchards, Washington on a small farm with his wife, Jane, three dogs, 17 new puppies, 1 horse and multiple non-egg-producing chickens. He enjoys spending time riding his motorcycle in the summer throughout the Northwest spending time with his 4 grandchildren, and attending their many sports activities. He also enjoys traveling and has visited Europe and several Mediterranean countries. He recently returned from a 14 day cruise of Turkey, Greece, and Croatia.

Pump Authorization Issues

tPort Controller is the application that communicates from your Point of Sale / DataManager to the NeXGen and the pumps. There will be times when tPort controller will be unable to connect to the NeXGen or pumps. There are various symptoms for pumps not communicating, such as not being able to authorize any pumps or an error message.

1. Make sure there is no one actively fueling
2. Click on the Triple E Control Panel Icon on the bottom right hand corner of your screen
*As necessary, click the small triangle to “show hidden Icons"
3. Select Restart Triple E Software.

4. Click Yes.

If you receive an error message while using the Triple E Control Panel to restart services, you may need to do a manual service restart.
