Computer Tips
Make sure Windows Update is set to Automatically Update your computer or at least run Windows Update manually each month. Windows is frequently updated by Microsoft to prevent virus and malware attacks, to improve Windows performance, and to provide new features. You can access Windows Update settings from the control panel.
Scan with an antivirus regularly. Everyone should have antivirus software that loads when their computer starts. The best type of protection is continuous monitoring from a dedicated antivirus program.
Also, make sure the antivirus program is set to update automatically.
These programs must regularly update their virus definitions to provide the best defense against new viruses and other malware.
Don't forget to backup! Backup your computer at all costs. A computer backup can save your computer’s life at a later date. There are gruesome viruses out there that can wipe out almost everything you have on your computer, so never forget to backup your files and keep them in a safe place.
