Complete Proprietary Fleet & Gift Card System with NO transaction or monthly fees!

CP720 (> Download PDF Data Sheet)

The CP720 is the only software based Proprietary Fleet Solution for Verifone, Gilbarco, and Wayne POS System Users.

The CP720 system is a Mini-ITX PC sporting a 40Gb 2.5 Inch Hard disk, 256Mb DDR 266 DIMM RAM, Windows 2000 Professional, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. The SQL Server Database stores up to 2 BILLION transactions before having to be polled.

The system communicates over the RS-232 port to a c-store's Point of Sale System (Ruby, G-Site, Nucleus, etc.) using the POS approved proprietary fleet communication protocol.

All proprietary fleet transactions at the pump or at the inside POS are handled, including support for product and fuel restrictions, Odometer, Pin, Vehicle Number, and Driver Number.

No Monthly Fees

Simply - There are no per-transaction or required monthly fees necessary to use the CP720. Telephone support is available at no charge for the first year. Additionally, regular product and maintenance releases are included at no additional charge for the first year.

An annual support agreement is available after the first year, however, it is not required, and not necessary to continue using the CP720 indefinitely.

Invisible Transition to New Proprietary System

The CP720 supports any existing proprietary card layout. The track layout is user-configurable in the CP720 database, and all existing cards can be used with no changes.

Additionally, Since the CP720 utilizes the identical proprietary fleet port that other leading vendors use, replacing them is as simple as disconnecting and reconnecting the RS-232 cable on the back of the existing POS system. There is no reprogramming of the POS, and the POS doesn't even need to be re-booted.

Finally, since the inside ACT terminals are reprogrammable TRANZ-380s, they will be re-programmed by installation personnel and connected to a CP720 (which can reside under the counter). The trans-380s will be a familiar piece of equipment for c-store personnel.

Gift Cards

The CP720 has base-level support for Gift Cards. This means that no additional programming or license modules are necessary to enable this functionality. The CP720 will support two kinds of Gift Card authorization — local lookup, so authorizations continue to be less than five seconds, and real-time lookup — back to the home office, which still results in authorizations of less than twenty seconds in a dial-up scenario.

Accounts Receivable & Invoicing

The CP720 via the DataManager Software provides complete Fleet Card management through the following functions:

  • > Invoice Adjustment Capabilities
  • > Configurable Taxes — easily handle government fleets
  • > Customized Invoice Layout
  • > Unlimited Rebate Settings
  • > Print and reprint invoices as needed
  • > Customized AR Aging Report
  • > Set Customer Credit Limits
  • > Set Card Credit Limits
  • > Manual transaction capability, including entry of odometer, vehicle, driver, product, and gallons.

Dynamic End of Shift

The CP720 tracks each transaction down to the actual second it occurred. In addition, a relative "Day" and "Shift" are associated with each transaction. Shift openings and closings can be done at any time. Store personnel will find it almost effortless to close the shift on the CP720, for all the proprietary fleet transactions. The Day and Shift for each transaction for each location will be transmitted regularly to the home office and kept with each transaction.

Stand Alone Terminal Functionality

The CP720 includes an optional Verifone TRANZ-380 terminal, PIN pad, and receipt printer to handle inside sales without an attached POS system. Meanwhile, all standard CP720 functionality is the same.

Customers who presently have other ACTs will be able to re-use their existing equipment. The Verifone TRANZ-380 is simply reprogrammed to communicate with the CP720. Cashiers who are used to the TRANZ-380 will appreciate the consistent method for processing transactions.

This inside POS functionality makes it possible for all customer retail locations (restaurants, gift shops, c-stores without POS equipment) to accept proprietary fleet cards the same way as c-stores with POS systems.

Seamless Integration of Transactions into Back Office System

The DataManager software, which maintains the customer, card, and transaction information from the Remote CP720s has a user-definable export facility. This export facility is "tablized" (i.e. the definitions are stored as SQL Statements in a database table), and not part of the source code of the DataManager. As the software is upgraded, the export definitions remain the same, guaranteeing that the exports work the same all the time.

The DataManager software supports the ability to allow customers to re-locate their primary Customer and Card maintenance functionality to their existing Back Office or Home Office System, and download the Customer and Card database into the DataManager, and then out to the Remote CP720s. This would in effect, allow customers the ability to maintain their Customer and Card database in one location, if desired.

Automatic Remote Site Polling

The CP720 is designed in such a way that the system itself sends transactions to the home-office, without user intervention. This proprietary design allows setting up remote sites to contact the home office and upload transactions and synchronize the customer and card database one to several times each day. In addition, the Home Office can initiate the connection and download customer and card information at the user's request. Secondary phone numbers, and retry attempts are user-configurable so that manual polling is eliminated.

Multi-User Application Support

The DataManager software that manages the Customer, Card, and transaction information at the Home office is network and multi-user capable, and supports up to 255 users at a single location. Maintenance, reporting, and data-uploads can be done from any network attached workstation running Windows 2000 or later.

Manage Credit Limits Automatically

The CP720 easily allows users to set any credit limit for any card in the system. This credit limit is tracked for each transaction and will decline transactions that exceed the limit. For Pay-at-the-Pump transactions, the pump will actually shut off automatically when the credit limit is reached.

This limit can be reset at any time, since the limit is not physically stored on the card, but in the CP720 database. Additionally, since the database is a SQL Database, external or web processes can be written to remotely replenish a card's balance.

There is no need to daily manage the card database, since the CP720 will automatically decrease the remaining available credit for each transaction.

Planned Growth of Customer and Card Database

The CP720 comes standard with a 40Gb Hard drive, and 256Mb of RAM. The SQL Server 2005 database installed onto each CP720 supports over 1 MILLION Cards, and over 2 BILLION transactions. At an average of 1 MILLION transactions per month, that's over 150 YEARS of transactions capable of being stored on the CP720.

Direct Access to CP720 SQL Database

Since the CP720 database is a secure SQL Server database, Transactions can be exported directly from the database into other systems as needed. Unlike some systems, the database schema is not hidden from direct contact.

This feature enables customer's staff (or contracted programmers) to directly manipulate, export, or even maintain information remotely from other interfaces. These include Web services, MS Access Applications, or other Windows based applications.

Comprehensive Remote Management

The CP720 is pre-installed with both RealVNC's VNC Server, and RemotelyAnywhere, by 3AM Labs. These two remote management tools provide complete remote file transfer, remote printing, remote desktop, and complete Windows management capabilities for both dial-up and secure VPN connections.
