High Oil Prices Squeeze Store Profits
NEW YORK – Yesterday on CNBC, NACS Vice President of Government Relations John Eichberger explained market dynamics at the pump, and how higher gas prices don’t mean retailers are raking in the profits.
“What we’re seeing is across the country … is in-store sales are down this year compared to last year,” he told CNBC’s Squawk Box. “When you combine that with high prices and lower retail margins … retailers are definitely feeling the pinch and consumers are not having a good time.”

• Receipts printed from the PumpToolbar for sales that spanned multiple dispensers will now be accessible via any of the multiple dispensers that the sale occurred on.
• Printing of receipts with signature capture image is up to 50% faster.
• Signature capture image file size has been reduced almost 100-fold.
• Prepaid fuel is no longer a valid product for OverRings.
• Signature capture images on receipts will now be printed for receipt re-prints.
• Prevented 'Unable to Print' error message from displaying on old Register hardware that was not using OPOS compliant printers.
• When a sale is suspended, customer discounts and tax exemptions are now removed and must be re-applied.
• Price changes for fuel items can now be set at 3 decimal precision.
• Safe drops can now exceed 9,999.99.
• Added concept of Combos and Mix/Match at the Register. The scanning of successive combo-qualified items will result in a combo to be satisfied and a combo discount item automatically added to the active sale.
• When adding new inventory items or editing items in Datamanager UPC codes are expanded to GTIN compliant 14 length to ensure proper scanning functionality.
• Exports through DataManager that take a significant amount of time to complete should no longer time out during the export process.
• Configuring new Quick Menus tabs will now automatically add the tab to the QM page on the Register POS.
