Michigan Attorney General Warns Fuel Retailers Against Price Gouging

Amid rising gas prices, Attorney General Bill Schuette issued a stern warning to retailers that the state will take action if they gouge consumers at the pump.
LANSING – As gas prices in Michigan approach record-high levels, Attorney General Bill Schuette warned fuel retailers against any attempt to take advantage of consumers by price gouging or price fixing. “Michigan consumers are struggling with rising costs just as summer vacations are getting underway, making it hard on family budgets,” said Schuette. “We will not tolerate unscrupulous behavior that violates Michigan law when it comes to gouging and price fixing. Gas retailers are warned: We are watching and will not hesitate to take action if you hurt consumers and break Michigan law.” .

Include a screen shot with your email message

If you are trying to show Helpdesk a software issue, insert a screen shot in your email text.

  • In Outlook, click New Email and begin writing in your message area.
  • When you are at the place in which you want to insert the screenshot, click on the insert tab and then in the illustrations group, click on Screenshot.
  • A tiny dialog box shows you all the current windows open on your desktop, so you can choose the one you want to insert, or
  • Click on the Screen Clipping and click to draw a box on the screen. Press Enter and the contents of the box will be inserted into your message.

New Enhancements and Features
 

We have completed the Car Wash interface. The signs we now support are Ryko, Kesseltronics Standard, Unitec and PDQ. You can now prompt the customer to purchase a car wash at the dispenser or Pedestal, display car wash prices in the prompt and  set gallon limits for a discounted car wash.  Customers can also buy a car wash at the register with a code print at the bottom of the receipt, etc. Contact Customer Support if you have more questions, helpdesk@e3tek.com


New Products and Services

Mix-n-Match or Combo

As of our late summer release, mix-n-match or combo item discounts have been added. This feature allows you to have an automatic discount added to any combination of a sale. You can create unlimited groups and put an unlimited number of items into each group. Discounts can be set as a static price (ex: 3 for $5 type promotions), or as a percentage-off promotion. You can perform maintenance from a single simple-to-use screen. Unlike other systems, discounts are applied automatically by the POS when enough eligible items have been added to a sale to fulfill a combo’s requirements. This means no special actions are required of your cashiers, items are simply add to the sale and the POS identifies when a combo has been fulfilled. This functionality and upgrade are included free for customers on current support contracts. If you don’t have a current support contract, contact sales@e3tek.com about upgrading your system to add this new functionality.

*Try restarting the SiteController, CP720, Register, or Pedestal computer?
*Are all of your applications up and running on your SiteController (Tport and ccEngine)?
*Having trouble swiping a card? Try placing a plastic bag over the card and re-swiping it.
