Connecticut Gas Stations to Change Pump Nozzles by 2015
Gas stations that dispense more than 10,000 gallons per month will be required to change their pump nozzles by July 1, 2015.

HARTFORD – A Connecticut bill signed into law last month will require nearly every gas station in Connecticut to change their pump nozzles within the next two years, disconnecting the vapor recovery systems required by the Clean Air Act of 1991, The Hartford Courant reports.
Those Stage II vapor recovery systems, which include a bellows or a disk near the pump handle, are no longer needed because of advancements in car gas valves. The existing nozzles are incompatible with the new technology and cause leakage of volatile organic compounds.

Tips in our Area of Expertise

Delete an entire word Instead of deleting a single letter.  Press CTRL + BKSP to delete the entire word behind the cursor. This makes deleting a word quicker.

Paste plain text.  When you copy text from any source, text formatting usually comes with it. To paste plain text only, press CTRL + Shift + V instead of CTRL + V.

Cycle through open windows. Press ALT+TAB to cycle through open windows. This makes switching back and forth between running processes quick and painless. You can also press Windows + Tab to simplify cycling through open windows.

Fix those little mistakes.  Did you know you can quickly undo almost any action, except for typing?  CTRL + Z is the ultimate hot key.  If you accidentally delete or move a file, you can hit CTRL + Z to bring it right back to where it was. In Chrome and Firefox you can also undo closing a tab using CTRL + SHIFT + T.

Cleaning your computer and computer components.  Peripherals helps keeps your computer in good working condition and helps reduce the spread germs.


New Enhancements and Features

We have completed the Car Wash interface. The signs we now support are Ryko, Kesseltronics Standard, Unitec and PDQ. You can now prompt the customer to purchase a car wash at the dispenser or Pedestal, display car wash prices in the prompt and  set gallon limits for a discounted car wash.  Customers can also buy a car wash at the register with a code print at the bottom of the receipt, etc.

Proprietary gift cards can be recharged and activated at the Register POS.

Enhanced proprietary gift card recharge/activation capabilities for CP720 locations.

Customization of register color themes, available soon. Self-author your own POS color schemes.

Information and Troubleshooting Tips

Things to check before calling Triple E:

Is the site logged in?

  • If the computer has just been restarted via a power failure or a manual restart, chances are you will need to log in before the applications start up. Use CTRL+ALT+DEL and input the password to log into the computer. The applications will take up to 2 minutes to start.

Are the applications started?
A cp720 will need the following applications to run:

  • ccEngine (aka SmartCharge Engine, or Credit Card Engine)
  • cpController
  • OneTouchSync (if installed)

An ESITE controller will need the following applications to run:

  • ccEngine (aka SmartCharge Engine, or Credit Card Engine)
  • tPortController
  • OneTouchSync (if installed)

Has a restart been attempted on the computer?

  • If the fueling is not functioning or cards are not being authorized, try a restart on the computer first. 99% of issues are solved by a restart.
