Swipe Fees
NACS retail members cite credit and debit card fees as their second largest operating expense after labor. Since 2001, interchange fees have tripled and last year cost Main Street businesses and American consumers roughly $48 billion. Interchange fees are far higher than the actual processing costs and risks involved, yet these transactions fees continue to rise.

Letter from our CEO

Dear Customers and Friends,
As we concluded 2013 I reflected on the challenges we’ve faced in the past 14 years. Many of you remember operating business “pre” PCI and even when we knew our customers by their first names. Triple E strives to continue that relationship even today. Many of you knew our founder Larry Eloe, and knew that he could remember every customer and understood that their operation was of the highest importance. My desire is to continue his wishes and create a true relationship with each and every customer. By making your business important to our support, service, development, and growth we will make business decisions that keep you in mind. 2013 was our most successful year to date and we are planning that 2014 will continue that growth pattern. Our software enhancements and reliability have allowed us to maintain PCI compliance, convert to new platforms, and develop partnerships with companies to offer you more solutions. I look forward to developing our future with you in mind and I wish you a successful and profitable year.

Thank you again,
Daniel Eloe, CEO

Featured Customer of the Month: Farmers Cooperative

A little bit about the company:
Farmers Cooperative is a full service cooperative with facilities in 45 communities in and around Dorchester, Nebraska. Farmers Cooperative is a patron owned company always looking towards the future and trying to bring more opportunities, markets and abilities to our local producers.

How did you hear of Triple E Technologies?
We needed to update and upgrade to newer technology. While talking and seeing various systems within the area one system was further ahead and offered tools that simplified and expanded services that we could provide to our local patrons.

What did they have before Triple E system?
Farmers Cooperative used the Gasboy system that will not be maintained in the future.

How is the system working for them?
The system is working very well, the first couple of installs took a little longer due to just being a new process but the last few have been really smooth. We like the ease of controlling the system and the user friendly equipment and supporting staff.

Would you recommend this product to anyone?
We have always tried to partner with those companies that will be viable for the long term. We depend on our suppliers to provide the very best goods, services and solutions for our patrons. Triple E has provided very stable business solutions for managing our petroleum offerings to our patrons.

Tips in our Area of Expertise

Transition to Windows 7 Operating System

According to the published Microsoft Support Lifecycle for the Windows XP Operating System, end of support is scheduled to occur on April 8, 2014. Continued use of Windows XP beyond the end of support exposes users to security and compliance risks, as well as dramatically decreased support from independent software vendors and hardware manufacturers. Of particular concern is the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) Version 2.0, which requires “all system components and software [to be] protected from known vulnerabilities by having the latest vendor-supplied security patches installed.”

In order to ensure that your systems comply with PCI DSS 2.0, and adequately protect your customers from security vulnerabilities, Triple E Technologies has developed a new version of our software that is compatible with the Windows 7 Operating System. This version was designed to accommodate both new customers with Windows 7 pre-installed and existing customers who upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7.

Two options are available to effect transition from Windows XP to Windows 7. The first option is to replace existing systems with new systems having Windows 7 and our latest software version pre-installed. The second is to install Windows 7 on an existing system, along with the latest version of our software. The latter option is available only to customers with hardware meeting minimum system requirements for both Windows 7 and our latest software version.

In order to accurately assess eligibility for the second option, we are in reaching out to our customers to obtain information regarding existing equipment in the field. Watch the email for a notification about this project; includes the forms necessary for an accurate site assessment. We look forward to working with you to determine the best option for you!  If you have any question, please email: Win7upgrade@e3tek.com

We have been pursuing UL certification for our Sentinel Island Card Reader for over a year now. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our staff we have achieved this important goal. The Sentinel passed all of the tests administered by UL at their lab and received final sign off by a UL field representative at Triple E's Production Facility on November 16, 2013. We have worked diligently to create the best environmentally hardened product for your site. For more information about our product on the UL website please click this link.

Triple E with response to customer demand has developed a Sentinel island card reader pedestal riser. This product has been created for customers who wish to mount the Sentinel directly on ground level, raising the pedestal to the standard ADA compliant height. Customers who wish to raise the pedestal to a higher stance can install up to two risers for the more traditional height that is not ADA compliant, but is preferred at many diesel truck stops. Please contact your Triple E sales associate today for a quote on the new pedestal riser. sales@e3tek.com
